Eyes on the Future.
Our eyes are fixed on the beauty of the unknown.
Our hearts beat faster at the infinite possibilities of weaving traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern sensibilities.
The classic Japanese decorative technique "inden" intertwining with innovative materials such as washi paper and silk, intricate necktie-inspired designs, original ideas by artists of diverse specialties and nationalities.
All of these elements lead to never-before-seen art.
Our identity rooted in Japanese tradition and our free and light-hearted approach to adapting the new and cutting away excess are what realize our refined aesthetics.
Beyond tradition. Beyond common sense. Sincere creations that resonate with the senses.
The brand new stories by YASIMA are on the way.
IDENTITY
The creativity of YASIMA is based on three key elements that form the brand's identity. By redefining traditional Japanese handicrafts to fit the cultural styles of the modern times, YASIMA aspires to endlessly deliver new possibilities and products.
MINDSET
Fresh Inspirations
YASIMA's unconstrained creativity originates from the challenges that we ceaselessly take on through the years.
JAPAN
Inden, the Highly Original Technique
by the Masters of Japanese Handicrafts.
Refined and modern pieces of art are produced by utilizing traditional Japanese techniques such as "inden" that decorates with lacquer and Ise stencils that dye patterns on fabrics for kimono.

The term YASIMA is an alternative name for Japan, used in the ancient times to express the landscape formed by multiple islands. Literally "a kingdom composed of eight islands," YASIMA geographically represents Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, Awaji, Iki, Tsushima, Oki, and Sado. At YASIMA, with the concept of "delivering products that are rich with traditional Japanese aesthetics and a touch of contemporary senses," our creativity shines spotlights on places of origin, materials, techniques, spirit, tradition, modern, and sensibility.
