We exhibited for the third time at Maison & Objet, the exhibition held in Paris in January 2026.

IRO FLUX by Mae Engelgeer

Iro Flux transforms silk into a suspended field of color, where hand-brushed layers of urushi lacquer create subtle sheen and depth. Created for Yasima the installation highlights the brand’s mastery of material and craft, drawing inspiration from traditional Byōbu screens. The installation divides space with a gentle, flowing presence—simultaneously veiling and revealing. The work magnifies the meticulous craft of smaller silk and lacquer pieces, highlighting texture and gradation. Color, surface, and spatial form merge, reflecting the material, process, and poetry of applied craft.

Iro Flux は、シルクを宙に浮かぶ色彩の場へと変容させた作品です。手作業で塗り重ねられた漆の層が、繊細な光沢と奥行きを生み出しています。

YASIMA のために制作されたこのインスタレーションは、伝統的な屏風から着想を得ており、素材と工芸に対するブランドの卓越した技術を際立たせています。

この作品は、やわらかく流れるような存在感で空間を仕切りながら、同時に覆い隠し、そして見せるという両義的な性質を持っています。

また、シルクと漆による小さな作品に宿る緻密な手仕事を拡張し、その質感とグラデーションの美しさを際立たせています。

色彩、表面、そして空間的なフォルムがひとつに溶け合い、素材、工程、そして応用工芸に宿る詩情を映し出しています。
